Donau Classic 2026: A glorious weekend full of driving fun and team spirit
The engines roared, the chrome gleamed in the summer sun, and both participants and spectators were thrilled. From 16 to 18 July 2026, our home region was transformed into a hotspot for classic car enthusiasts. The legendary Donau Classic entered its next edition, and we at DONAT IT were right in the thick of it. The event is a tradition for us, but this year there were a few new elements. That’s exactly what made the weekend such a special highlight for us.

A strong partnership on the road
We lined up at the start with a new line-up: we fielded a total of three vehicles in the race. What made this special was the line-up in the cockpits. The teams weren’t just made up of colleagues from DONAT IT; they were bolstered by the active support of our sister company, EPOS CAT GmbH. Together, the teams formed the perfect blend of driving skill, highly precise navigation and plenty of good humour.
The highlight on Saturday morning: a roadblock at DONAT IT
One of the absolute highlights of the rally weekend took place right on our doorstep. On Saturday morning, our company car park was transformed into an official checkpoint. Hundreds of classic cars passed through our site one after the other, which was a real spectacle not only for the drivers but for us as well.
We made sure to give the participants a proper welcome. We warmly greeted every passing car and every team with a cool bag containing water and biscuits. In return, the drivers gave us grateful smiles, despite the rally’s tight schedule.
Culinary delights and pure driving pleasure
The two days really put the teams through their paces. The challenging routes took us through the picturesque countryside surrounding the Ingolstadt automotive region. To ensure everyone’s energy levels stayed up, the drivers were well looked after: from a hearty breakfast and a nourishing lunch to a convivial evening meal, everyone involved got their money’s worth.
Although sporting ambition played a part in the special stages, the focus was on the shared enjoyment of driving, networking and the unforgettable team experience. Every year, the Donau Classic offers the perfect opportunity to enjoy the scenic beauty of our region at your own pace and leave the stresses of everyday office life behind.

We are incredibly proud of the achievements of our DONAT-EPOS teams. A heartfelt thank you also goes to the entire Donau Classic organising team for ensuring the event ran so smoothly, as well as to all the volunteers on site who made Saturday morning at our checkpoint a resounding success. We have once again turned this weekend into our very own ‘DONAT Classic’ and are already looking forward to next year!
