UNICEF charity run 2025
Last year, the UNICEF charity run unfortunately had to be cancelled due to the flooding in the region around Ingolstadt at the beginning of June. But this year, the UNICEF charity run went into the next round. On Wednesday, 7 May 2025, around 800 runners ran lap after lap in pleasant spring temperatures. A donation total of 35,000 euros was raised.
As every year, the charity run took place in Klenzepark Ingolstadt. Our athletic team, consisting of 15 runners, was also at the start. They performed at their best, covering a distance of around 750 metres per lap. In total, the DONAT running team achieved a total of 148 laps and raised 1,500 euros.
For us, the UNICEF charity run is a fixed part of our annual planning. We are all the more pleased that we were able to raise a considerable amount of money again this year with a motivated team and thus do some good. We would like to thank our runners and are already looking forward to next year!

UNICEF donation targets
The motto of this year’s charity run was ‘Education for children’. UNICEF’s education projects give disadvantaged girls and boys in many countries the chance of a better life. Schools are re-equipped, school tents are provided and pupils are supplied with learning materials, exercise books and pens. This makes education accessible to children even in remote regions. In addition to basic education, lessons also focus on rights in society and for families. Topics such as illnesses and pregnancy are also covered.
A big thank you goes to the UNICEF Ingolstadt working group, which organises the charity run year after year and helps children all over the world with its work.
