Christmas donation 2023
Participation in the “Company Christmas Donation” campaign 2023
Christmas is the festival of love, especially love of neighbor. Most people think of Christmas – apart from the birth of Jesus – as a time to get together with the family, enjoy a delicious Christmas dinner and give presents.
But even at Christmas time, there are people in many regions of the world who suffer from poverty, hunger or illness. People in war and crisis zones are particularly affected. Aid organizations such as Médecins Sans Frontières are in action here all year round, helping those affected quickly, efficiently and unbureaucratically. In 2023, employees traveled to more than 70 countries worldwide and provided emergency medical aid.
Donat IT is aware of its social responsibility as a company and has decided on a special customer gift for Christmas this year. Namely for participating in the “Company Christmas Donation” campaign organized by Doctors Without Borders. DONAT IT’s customers and business partners therefore received donation information from the aid organization in this year’s Christmas card.
This makes us one of 1,130 companies that supported Doctors Without Borders with a Christmas donation in 2023. With just 950 euros, the aid organization’s team can treat 50 malnourished children with high-calorie special food, for example. With 3,000 euros, the medical team provides 1,800 people with the necessary medication for three months after a natural disaster. With 8,450 euros, for example, they can operate on 50 patients. This covers the costs of anesthetic drugs and surgical materials.
From next year, we are also aiming for long-term cooperation with Doctors Without Borders. The aim is to support the organization in the long term and promote its projects.
